We want to hear from you! The First Nations Technology Council is learning how AI (Artificial Intelligence) could support Nation-building for First Nations communities in BC.

Your input will help the Technology Council develop AI tools and resources that serve your community’s needs.

What is AI?
AI is computers or machines that are designed to think and learn like humans. AI helps them do things that usually need human brainpower, like learning new things, solving problems, making decisions, recognizing patterns, and understanding language. Common AI tools include voice assistants (like Siri, Alexa, Bixby or Google Assistant), generative AI tools (Like ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini) and translation apps.

About the Survey
This short survey (about 10-15 minutes) is anonymous and will help us:
  • Understand how AI is (or isn’t) used in communities
  • Identify challenges and barriers to AI adoption
  • Find ways to support Nations with training and resources
This survey is hosted by Engage Delaney and as a neutral third-party they are custodians of the data. This means Engage Delaney will ensure all information is de-identified and that the ability to re-identify is removed by reporting results in the aggregate. Following a period of time after the close of the survey, the data will be destroyed. The survey findings will be reported on by Engage Delaney.

The Technology Council seeks to uphold OCAP® and will not share your data for any purpose other than to help us shape resources to support AI adoption in First Nations communities in BC.

All data that is collected will not have names attached to it and will be shared all together, not separately. As data stewards, we recognize that the knowledge shared in this survey is owned by the individuals and communities who provide it. You will have the option to receive a copy of your individual responses upon completing the survey.
