Interest Form

Thanks for your interest in the VICCIR's Peer-Led Mental Health Workshops for immigrant and refugee youth! These workshops will consist of four interactive, youth-led sessions covering four topics:
  1. Common Mental Health Challenges
  2. The Brain-Body Connection
  3. Building Resilience
  4. Recovery, Healing, & Success Stories
These workshops will take around 2 hours each and will take place on four different Sundays and Mondays in March.

Sunday Workshops (3 pm - 5 pm) | Location: UVic Clearihue Building A207

  • March 9th: The Brain-Body Connection
  • March 16th: Building Resilience
  • March 23rd: Recovery, Healing, & Success Stories
Monday Workshops (4:30 pm - 6:30 pm) | Location: UVic Clearihue Building A207
  • March 3rd: Common Mental Health Challenges
  • March 10th: The Brain-Body Connection
  • March 17th: Building Resilience
  • March 24th: Recovery, Healing, & Success Stories

These workshops also include an optional research component which will consist of surveys and interviews about your attitudes on mental health. After filling out this interest form, you will be asked to complete a consent form to indicate your participation in the research project.
