GSA Need-Based Bursary

Applications for the 2023 Fall Term Bursaries will be accepted from Friday May 31, 2024 at 8:00 AM until Sunday June 23, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

To apply, please complete this form including all requested supporting documents before the submission deadline. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

Please ensure you have the following information ready prior to moving forward with the application:
  • One (1) page cover letter to describe your financial situation and reasons why you are in need of a GSA Bursary (as a PDF).
  • A copy of your tuition for the 2024 Spring and Summer terms (as a single PDF):
    • To find this screen, go to Tuition & Fees → Account Detail by Term → Check both Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 radio buttons → Submit;
    • Right-click on the page and select ‘Print Page’;
    • Please ensure your name and student number are visible on the page.
  • One (1) letter of support (as a PDF) from your supervisor, or a faculty member in your department, who is able to attest to your academic, financial, and extracurricular involvements. The reference letter must be on institutional letterhead.

We recognize that is a need-based bursary. A Confirmation of Enrolment document may be requested for successful applicants but is not required upon submission to keep applications free of charge.

Please note that information included in bursary applications will be kept strictly confidential and all information will be destroyed following evaluation.
