LEMDO Webinars: Literary Divisions (Editorial-Technical)

In this hybrid editorial-technical webinar, LEMDO Director Janelle Jenstad will explain how to “Create Acts, Scenes, and Characters Lists in Your Modernized Text.”

The webinar will cover the basics of literary divisions and character lists; offer tips on dealing with tricky literary divisions like choruses, inter-act unit, prologues, and epilogues; and go through some of the trickier challenges in dealing with evolving speech prefixes, character groups, and unnamed characters. TEI-XML skills: We will focus on the <particDesc>, <listPerson>, <person>, <persName>, <name>, <reg>, <note>, and <div> elements.
