You are invited to participate in a web-based online structured survey on trends, opportunities, and barriers to fleet electrification in British Colombia (BC). The purpose of the study is to conduct a survey of the fleet managers’ perceptions of the trends, barriers, and opportunities of fleets in BC. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Study team
Dr. Taco Niet, Dr. Erik Kjeang, and Tewodros Walle (SFU)
                    Inger Miller (FBC),
Daniel Clancy (BC Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Low Carbon Innovation)

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You may refuse to take part in the research or exit the survey at any time. If you choose to withdraw, the thoughts, comments and suggestions you have already provided and submitted to the survey will be included in the final survey results.

This survey will ask questions about your perception of trends, barriers, and opportunities of fleets in BC.  Using this condition and by analysing the technical and life cycle impacts of different fleet vehicle options, the study team will provide FBC and the Province of BC with in-depth options and life cycle impacts of different vehicle fleets.

There are no foreseeable risks to you and no incentives associated with participation in this survey. However, you will learn from our final report.

Throughout the study, your privacy and confidentiality will be protected. The anonymous responses option in Survey monkey will be used. This allows omitting all responder personal contact from our findings. Therefore, You will not be identified in the report or published materials. Data will be stored in the Survey Monkey account to administer the survey. Any data downloaded from the survey tool will be stored in an SFU Vault folder shared only with the project team members, and it will be utilized for future study. The data will be deleted within one year of the completion of the summary report from the survey, and in any case no later than December 2023.

The results of this study will be disseminated to the research community through the final Mitacs Grant report as well as through journal articles.

You will be requested to join the FBC mailing list when you have completed all of the survey questions. This is not a must. If you are willing to sign up, you will be redirected to a FBC’s mailing list sign-up page at the end of the survey.
