Coldstream Cemetery Plan

The District of Coldstream is planning to expand the cemetery as the developed portion is almost at capacity. The District is working on a plan to guide the further development in a comprehensive and thoughtful manner with community input. We hope you will give us your input so the plan can reflect community interests. The information collected in this survey will be presented to Council for consideration.

*Green burial – a more environmentally friendly form of interment in which a body without embalming is placed in a shroud or biodegradable simple casket and buried in an area where vegetation is planted and allowed to naturalize. A group marker is a large monument with multiple names, which is considered “greener” as it uses less unnatural materials and allows the area to appear more natural.
