Canadian Concussion in Sport Symposium 2024 - Call for Speakers

Speaker Application Form

The 2024 Annual Canadian Concussion in Sport Symposium hosted by Canada’s Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) will be held on January 31, 2024. This symposium will allow researchers and sport organizations to showcase leadership and best practices around sport-related concussion prevention, recognition and management. We are now accepting speaker application forms for the 2024 symposium. If your research team or organization is leading the way in sport-related concussion research or practice, we invite you to submit a speaker application form by November 21, 2023. Research and sports sector presentations will be hosted on Zoom and will include a mix of live and pre-recorded videos with short question-and-answer periods to follow. We will contact all applicants with a decision regarding their application by late November.

Virtual poster session: The poster session will occur in breakout rooms based on room themes (for example, concussion prevention) during a designated poster presentation period. Presenters will have a short live virtual presentation slot where they can share their posters and answer audience questions.

Pre-recorded presentation: Pre-recorded presentations will occur in the main Zoom room. All pre-recorded presentations will be followed by a live question-and-answer period. This option is best for those with unstable internet connections.

Live virtual presentation: Live virtual presentations will occur in the main Zoom room throughout the day. All live virtual presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
