Application preparation

Before beginning your application please prepare answers to the following questions (Separate PDF documents for each question. Single spaced with 11 point font).

1. Provide a clear overview/purpose of the project, including:
a. Title of the study.
b. Previous experience with SoTL Research.
c. A brief literature review (up to 250 words).
d. What complex teaching challenge do you wish to address
e. How your project will add to existing SoTL research.
2. Provide your proposed research question(s), detailed methodology (including data collection/analysis).
3. Please include a detailed description on how your SoTL research project will follow Felten's (2013) principles of good practice in SoTL.
a. Focused on student learning in higher education.
b. Situated in the existing literature and grounded in a teaching-learning context.
c. Methodologically sounds.
d. Conducted in partnership with learners.
e. Appropriately public.
4. Provide a detailed dissemination plan of how the results of your study will be shared with the SoTL community.
5. Upload a copy of the P.I.'s most recent short CV.
6. Provide a list of references that are used in the Overview of the Project section of this application (1). Please note all references should have consistent formatting and that 7th ed APA is preferred, but not required.
7. Describe how considerations of equity, diversity and inclusion will be addressed in conceptulization/design of the project.
8. Provide your detailed budget justification.
9. Upload a copy of the P.I.'s completed TCPS 2: CORE 2022 Certification.
10. Upload a letter of support signed by the Dean of your College or School.
