Background
The Town of Edson is preparing a Housing Strategy to better understand the current housing situation and develop an action plan to create and maintain affordable, safe, and suitable housing options.
This past fall, we heard from residents and interested parties about current housing challenges and ideas for improving housing in Edson. Feedback received during this first phase of engagement (fall 2024) was summarized in a What We Heard Report that can be viewed by visiting edson.ca/housing
Based on the feedback received to date and data related to housing needs and priorities, we have prepared preliminary goals to structure the Draft Housing Strategy. Now, we are seeking feedback to confirm what we heard in the fall and gather further input on the draft goals that will guide housing action in Edson.
We want to hear from you to confirm that your experiences with housing in Edson were captured appropriately and to get your thoughts on the draft goals. Your participation will help confirm goals that will support the creation of priority actions for the development of affordable, safe, and suitable housing options in the Town of Edson.
