The Impact Investing Hub, a research and education hub at the University of Victoria, in collaboration with Innovate BC and InBC, are currently working on mapping impact ventures in British Columbia. More specifically, we are interested in exploring startups and SMEs’ alignment and contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have done a first round of assessment based on publicly available information from companies’ websites for a list of BC companies including yours. This survey intends to validate and compare our assessment with your own company’s assessment of its current or potential contribution to the SDGs. Results from this mapping exercise will be consolidated and shared publicly via various outlets, including Capital Compass BC, offering visibility for your company to a wide range of investors who are increasingly looking to identify impact ventures using the SDGs as a framework for selecting portfolio companies. This survey can be completed in 3-5 minutes max. Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Dr. Basma Majerbi at majerbi@uvic.ca.
