Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the International Centre for Students (ICS) and the UVic Global Community (GC) to support the International Student Orientation Programs.

ICS Orientation Activities & Volunteer Opportunities:

International Student Welcome Event (Thursday, August 29th)

- Information Session
- Lunch

- Ice Cream Social
International Student Orientation Programs (Various positions between August 27th - September 7th)
- Information Table Hosts
- Lunch & Lawn Games Volunteers
- Fisherman's Wharf & Ogden Point Walking Tour Volunteers
- Find Your Classroom Tour Guides
- Bus Route Basics Guides
- Graduate Student Giant Games Night Volunteers
- Global Community Beach Social Volunteers & Activity Leaders
- Victoria Photo Scavenger Hunt Activity Leaders
- Thetis Lake Hike Volunteers

As a Volunteer, you have the responsibility to:

Be punctual for your volunteer shift
Be reliable and responsible
Welcome new students and support with engagement in Orientation programming
Answer questions and refer students to appropriate resources
Inform students about how they can get involved in Global Community Programs
Have a supportive and welcoming attitude and strive to create a community of belonging!
Participate in the required volunteer training
