1. Canadian Profile Book Registration

Dear Canadian video game company,

The Trade Commissioner Service of Canada (TCS) is now accepting applications to be a part of the Canadian delegation at gamescom 2024, including the Digital Profile Book, to showcare Canada's capabilities in the gaming industry.

Trade Commissioners will use this digital directory to strengthen relationships with both new and existing local contacts, and to identify business opportunities for Canadian companies attending gamescom.

To be eligible, a company/organization must:
  • be incorporated under the laws of Canada, a province or a territory;
  • be a for-profit company or not-for-profit organization;
  • support the promotion of Canadian interactive and digital media abroad;
  • expect to generate new export revenues (with a project under development or investment opportunity, for example);
  • plan to participate at gamescom in person; and
  • be available for consultation on the content of the profile book entry.
Please note that, in consideration of our majority audience, the digital profile book will only be available in English.

PRIVACY STATEMENT
Once selected for this initiative, all participants consent to having their results measured through the profile book and MeetToMatch platform, where applicable. Data on meetings held, contact information requests, hits on pages, and more, can be monitored by the Government of Canada. Following attendance, participants may be asked to complete a short survey enumerating the business connections and deals that result from this initiative. Only selected companies will be contacted.
PRIVACY NOTICE
The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is part of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) or the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD).

DFATD is committed to protecting the privacy rights of individuals and safeguarding the personal information under its control.

"Personal information” is defined as any information, in any form, about an identifiable individual; refer to section 3 of the Privacy Act for further details regarding personal information.

Personal information collected by DFATD is protected from disclosure to unauthorized persons and/or agencies subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act. Individuals have the right to the protection of and access to their personal information and to request corrections where the individual believes there is an error or omission. When completed, the PIB can be viewed at Info Source. Individuals have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the Department’s handling of their personal information.
