The Anti-Racism Initiative (ARI) grant supports learning and teaching projects aligned with UVic’s commitment to anti-racism and the values of equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI), and belonging as set out in the UVic Strategic Plan, the Equity Action Plan, and as a signatory of the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education. Funded projects can involve the design of new courses, the creation of new materials for existing courses, or course/program curriculum renewal to integrate EDI and/or engage students in anti-racism awareness and work.
