The Department of Indigenous Studies is offering a field course (INDG 435) for undergraduate students, taking place between May 11-24, 2025.

The field course is designed in collaboration with Wilp Luutkudziiwus (Gitxsan) in whose territory we will conduct field surveys and research in topics related to Indigenous land management and food systems, archaeology, historical ecology, and GIS mapping.

This short application gives you an opportunity to tell us a bit about yourself, your experience in outdoor and backcountry settings, and why you want to take this course. Prerequisites are INDG 101 or INDG 201W and permission of the instructor. Completion of INDG 232 and/or INDG 332 would be an asset.
