Student Affiliate Membership Overview
We are inviting you to indicate your Student Affiliation Status with the Centre for Youth and Society. If you are interested, please carefully review the CFYS Mission/Goals below. If you choose to indicate your Student Affiliation, you also indicate your commitment to pursue this mission/goals in collaboration with CFYS members and community partners. You also commit to acknowledge your affiliation to the Centre in your communications (e.g., in your email signature, on your website, etc.) and your work (e.g., as an affiliation when your present at conferences or publish).
CFYS Mission: To promote the well-being of youth from diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds, across developmental transitions, and in evolving societal circumstances.

Goals:
- To provide for the generation and dissemination of research knowledge concerning strengths, challenges, opportunities, and problems of children, youth (12 to 30 years) and families.
- To ensure that the concerns of youth themselves and of society as a whole are identified so that programs, research, and training priorities are responsive to these concerns.
- To advance interdisciplinary community-based research on adolescent health and development.
- To train specialists in interdisciplinary community-based research, education, and health-care of children and adolescents.
- To advocate for children, youth (12 to 30 years) and families with policy-makers and research funding agencies.
- Emphasize an ethical approach and scientific rigour.
