Systemic Investigation

The Office of the Federal Ombudsperson for Victims of Crime is conducting a national systemic investigation on how survivors of sexual assault are treated in the Canadian criminal justice system. This survey is for stakeholders who work with survivors of sexual violence in a professional capacity.

All questions are optional. You can choose to skip a question or not continue at any point. If you find the questions difficult and would like support, a list of support agencies is available here.

How will you protect my privacy?
You will have the option to be included in a list of organizations or professionals consulted, but responses included in our report will be anonymous and will not be connected to an individual or organization.

How long will the survey take?
The survey will take 10-30 minutes to complete, depending on how much you write in open-ended questions.

What will you do with my answers?
What we learn will be included in a final report with recommendations. We will request a formal response from the federal government.
